Very sadly, the Divine Liturgy in English at 9-30 am on Sundays at the Holy Family Cathedral, Lower Church, have had to be put on hold. Until the practicalities we cannot use the Lower Church space. Hopefully this will be resolved very soon. Please keep checking in here for details.

Owing to public health guidance, masks should still be worn indoors and distance maintained. Sanitisers are available. Holy Communion is distributed in both kinds from the mixed and common chalice, by means of a separate Communion spoon for each individual communicant.

Anglican-Oriental Orthodox Dialogue 2013 Session

 Antelias – 3-7 October 2013, the second meeting of the Oriental Orthodox, Anglican bilateral dialogue was held in London. Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, and Rev. Shahé Ananian represented the Catholicosate of Etchmiadzin, and Archibishop Nareg Alemezian and Bishop Shahé Panossian represented the Catholicosate of Cilicia.

Archbishop Nareg and Rt Rev Geoffrey Rowell co-chaired the meeting, which discussed the doctrine of Pneumatology and the joint statement on Christology of 2002.

On Saturday the participants went to the Coptic Orthodox Church in order to attend a special prayer service dedicated to the Middle East; on Sunday, they attended an Anglican Church Service and were the guests of the new Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, for lunch.

The next bilateral dialogue will be held 13-17 October 2014 in Cairo.
