Father Habib - Axios!

On Saturday 11 January, it was announced in Rome that the Holy Father added his consent to the recent episcopal appointments made by the Synod of the Chaldean Catholic Church led by His Beatitude Louis Raphael I Sako, Patriarch of Babylon.

To our great joy, among them was that of Father Habib Al-Naufali, currently chaplain of the Chaldean Catholic community in London, as Archbishop of the Archeparchy of Bassorah in Iraq.

Axios! Axios! Axios!

The Society of St John Chrysostom warmly congratulates, you, Father Habib and we assure you of our devoted prayers as you prepare to take up your new ministry. Even amid all the challenges that face the Church in Iraq and the Middle East more widely, we pray for God's blessing and protection on you and your people in the joy of Christ's Kingdom.
